Lou Saban is Apparently Alive Again and Coaching the Crimson Tide

And remember, this jackass has the nuclear codes.

(CNN)President Donald Trump repeatedly referred to the University of Alabama's head football coach Nick Saban by the wrong name during a call on the eve of the state's Republican runoff race.
As Trump praised Tommy Tuberville, the former head coach of Auburn University, he also lauded a football coach named Saban -- just not the one who has secured five national championships for the state and built a dynasty in Tuscaloosa.
"Really successful coach," Trump said of Tuberville, whom he's vigorously endorsed in the race against his former attorney general Jeff Sessions. "Beat Alabama, like six in a row, but we won't even mention that. As he said ... because of that, maybe we got 'em Lou Saban ... And he's great, Lou Saban, what a great job he's done."...

In my second job, we used to go to a restaurant that was owned by Lou Saban & his brother.
Lou was only there one time.
Place was run by his brother and Lou's niece.
Good burgers, great staff.
It was in Countryside, IL.
They got a lot of lunch biz from the GM plant right there.
When I saw Lou Saban mentioned, my mind went straight back to that joint!

Bringing up Alabama losing football in Alabama is a real vote getter.

BTW Auburn fired Tuberville's ass.

BTW part 2 Trump is toast in much of the "good old boy" south now because of his fuck up w/C-19
has caused the SEC to shut down football this year.

He then went to Texas Tech and later Cincinnati. Basically, his only claim to fame was beating Alabama 6 times in a row and having one great team, number 3 in the country 2004. In all his years as a head coach at Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech, and Cincinnati, he had exactly one great season. Oh, and he almost went to prison for some illegal financial deals he was involved with while at Texas Tech and Cincinnati. Had to pay close to 2 million dollars to avoid prison. He partner in crime was sentenced to 10 years.

When they hired Tuberville I was initially happy because a more experienced coach may stick around longer. WRONG! He took a decent team and in a few years eventually running the team and morale into the ground, finally resigning four years later.

liar and bullshit artist. He's not qualified for any elected office at any government level, even dog catcher. He's in the senate race strictly to make a bunch of money. If he wins, he's got a license to steal in Washington for 6 years. If he loses, he can skim off some of the millions of campaign funds Trump's buddies gave him.

A political Iron Bowl to replace the gridiron one that won't be played this year.
