I might make sense if you realize that we are merely human capital stock and that the current government, (read: GOP/TRUMP) is not about being public servants to us, but serving us, on a platter to business as an expendable commodity and THAT'S ALL.

No empathy, concern, humanity. We are merely numbers; capitalistic quanta. We reproduce and can be replaced by other people in line or automation.

The only problem with the human stock thing is that, for example, a cattle rancher might treat his livestock better than we are, at least before they go to slaughter. We get cajoled, kicked and prodded and are then left on our own to just die.

However, the good news is that we can look for "something new" when it comes to our impending demise.
