Jim Acosta said this is the first time he has seen a President turn a Rose Garden press event

into a campaign rally.

He said that this is the speech he wanted to have in New Hampshire but he choose to have it at the White House Press Garden in front of the press.

So just add it to the list.

This one goes under the Hatch Act Violations, I think.

The Poor Hatch Act. It's been overworked these past 4 years.

We need to get this campaign underway - even if it is virtual. I want him nominated, I want to know who the VP is going to be and I want to get this party started. I'm starting to get the same excitement I had when I worked on the Obama/Biden campaign in 08. I think once he is official and has his VP, President Obama is going to step in and show us how to be a VIRTUAL Community Organizer - and I can't wait!

some of these people are on their way to the "Uber Patriotic Casino and Re-Education Camp" they'll reflect on what they've done for the last few decades......

This not particular to Acosta, who at least knows how to ask a follow-up question. But in general, the press in this country behave like trained puppies when it comes to the presidency. Republican administrations that is. If it's a Democrat up there, they get "real tough guy" real quick.

on our soldiers. That is an extremely important question to ask, and important to hold his feet to the fire.

Since Donald was playing games today with the media coverage, then they all had plenty of time to do the question and answers.

For Heaven's sake these are our soldiers at risk of being murdered! WTF are you doing about it, Donald?

It's their bosses at the networks and newspapers who tell them they have to be there. If they want to keep their jobs, then they do what they are told. I think it was Acosta who was asked this question a while ago, and that was his answer. It's not an excuse, and I hope they all get to the point where they stand up en masse and leave. Holding a collective middle finger in the air as they file out.

Send in the CNN cameras just in case there is actual news, and broadcast the short clip later.

I though the Hatch Act prevented him from using his office or the residence for political campaigning.

Perhaps, I am wrong, but it just seems like we the people should not be paying for him to get air time to have a campaign rally in response to Joe Biden's virtual rally he held today.

He got free press again and we paid for it. This is categorically wrong.

C'mon, news people. Are we going to go through this again where we anxiously show the empty podium and televise the full event every time Trump wants to rant?

Why are you broadcasting him taking questions from OANN?

A free campaign ad for Team Trump given legitimacy by our press corps.
