Dan Pfeiffer nails Pence on his BS excuse to open schools

Mike Pence: "We don't want CDC guidance to be a reason why people don't reopen their schools."

Dan Pfeiffer: Look, to be clear, we don't want FAA guidelines to be a reason for planes to get inspected.

How do you think they are going to react to a viral spread of Covid-19 that is so unpredictable? They are in the subway with a full bladder no need to step on the third rail.

are all older now, so we won't be directly affected - except for the probable community spread. There is an option for students to study remotely, but the school board said that the parent survey they conducted indicated that upwards of 80% of parents wanted the schools to reopen. I don't know for sure if that means that 80% of students will attend in person. I really hope not.

It's curious that preschoolers will only have the option of in person attendance. It seems to me that group would be the most difficult to try to keep safe with regard to CDC guidelines.

For any student who wants to sign up for it as an alternative. If/when you pass, THEN you pay the required fees and you're done with this iteration of this nonsense.

Trump wants to kill kids, teachers, and kids' grandparents through "re-opening the schools." Same theme, different method.

Make no mistake. Trump's a killer through Negligent Homicide of hundreds of thousands, by the time he's finished devastating society. Right now, he's directly responsible for over 120,000 deaths, and that number is climbing every day.

Trump is leading the nation-- in formulating the notion that the pandemic isn't real. To him and his Trump-humpers, it still isn't real. The nation CANNOT re-open the economy, nor school systems, UNTIL COVID-19 is brought under control. It's a matter of simple biology, and nothing else. Trump is complicating this simple fact by pretending that we can survive the re-opening of anything while the pandemic rages forward. It's not a movie. It's not fantasy. It's not a political conspiracy. It's real death and real permanent organic damage for many of those who survive.

There is no solace in the fact that vaccines are in the works and that, in several months from now, SOME of us can get inoculated. Whether that panacea lasts for weeks or months or years is UNKNOWN. What we do know is that Trump is engineering negligent homicide on a massive scale, right now. As the southern and western states get overloaded with sick people, the raging against Trump as the one person who is in charge of killing spouses, children, and grandparents will increase. Folks generally don't like losing their loved ones for any reason. But for such intentional and evil purposes, for a politician's sick attempts at re-election, neither institutional gravitas nor ignorance nor sadistic delight will stop Trump's own enablers from turning against him. Satan never had it so good. And neither, BTW, has Putin.
