Let's remember trump barely won last time, some would say he didn't

I know quite a few people who voted for him last time and say they won’t this time. I don’t know anyone who did not vote for him that says they’ll vote for him this time. We just need to make sure everyone gets out and voted and keep an eye in the process. You know the rethugs will be trying to cheat.

this time around, he has the perks that go with being an incumbent. He's certainly had people around him to instruct him to make the most of those advantages.

Also, there surely were potential Trump voters who did not come out in 2016, because they figured their state was going to vote blue, and they believed the polls that Trump didn't have a chance. They won't be sitting home this time around.

We have to run as though we're twenty points behind in the polls.

The same dynamic probably worked against Hillary as well - especially the polling information.

Maybe even more so.

made it "safe" for disgruntled Bernie-bots to make a protest vote for a third party candidate. We have to be on guard for the same thing, surely, there will be people less than 100% happy with Joe Biden as the nominee, and if the polls show him way ahead, they might be tempted to either pick a third party candidate or sit out the election.

We have to remind them that such behavior shackled us with Trump the last time.

I know others who voted for Clinton who are not voting, or who are voting 3rd party.

We need to stop being cocky about this election is in the bag.
