Trump invents nightmare fantasy about St. Louis gun couple: "they were going to be beat up badly"

Trump defended the St. Louis couple that pulled guns on marchers, claiming with no basis: "They were going to be beat up badly - if they were lucky, OK? If they were lucky. They were gonna be beat up badly and the house was going to be totally ransacked and probably burned down."

This was in an interview with conservative commentator Katie Pavlich, editor at Townhall.

The reality was, of course, that the protesters were marching past the house with no interest in it at all, and no idea who lived there. There were on their way to protest the Mayor. And they were peaceful, and in no way looking like they would beat up, ransack or burn down anything.

This is gaslighting.

who had to run and grab their guns to make a unneeded statement. The city of STLMO is looking very carefully at possibly charging these two with something (such as assault, aiming firearms at unarmed people walking on the sidewalk, etc.)...note, I live in STLMO and I would be very upset too if while on my walk (on a sidewalk, not personal property) a neighbor came out and threatened me w/ a firearm. I hope fervently that the city does charge the two of these idiots w/ something. They don't deserve a wash being that they did brandy firearms in sight, and I saw from all of the videos no threatening actions by the protesters, no firearms in the arms of the protesters, etc.
