The questions that will be asked?

How did they let it happen?

Why did they do nothing to stop it?

Why were there so few with so little courage?

Why did they let our country be driven into bankruptcy?

Why did they let them fire all the oversight and rob our Treasury?

Did they think America was indestructible?

If we don't create a drumbeat from this theme they'll sweep it all under the rug.

How did they let it happen?

A: We didn't! We closed the border with China!
Real answer: We thought it was going to magically disappear.

Why did they do nothing to stop it?

A: We didn't do nothing! We closed the border with China!
Real answer: We were too busy planning rallies and golf outings.

Why were there so few with so little courage?

A: We were courageous! We stood up to China!
Real answer: What?

Why did they let our country be driven into bankruptcy?

A: We didn't! It was the Democrats who wouldn't open up fast enough!
Real answer: We don't give a damn if we can scapegoat the Democrats.

Why did they let them fire all the oversight and rob our Treasury?

A: We didn't rob anybody!
Real answer: It's our grifting nature, it's who we are, we are Greed Over People.

Did they think America was indestructible?

A: America is indestructible!
Real answer: What do we care, if we make some money and get re-elected to make more money.

"If a person makes a mistake but see profit from it, expect them to repeat that mistake over and over again.&quot I paraphrase)

The how question is perhaps explained by the "bad apple" constant. They were simply there and being bad influence they infected their domain with the obvious consequences.

The "did they" question belongs in the "I'm certain I'm right but I really don't care anyway" category. Melania's jacket was NOT unintentional. It was a tantalizing peek at incomprehensible reality.

Our challenge is to make the rap stick squarely and securely on the culprits. It is the gob-smacked, gap-toothed ignorance of those who support the republican party who opened the pantry door. The raiding was/is done in typical "conservative" manner.

And by-the-way, conservatives don't even consider racism a relevant issue. They think crime is the big issue. They're UNWILLING to even entertain the notion that their enforcement of law is targeted toward black(or brown) people. Their enforcers have been on the course too long and think non-police are clueless about what's going on in their "real" world. It's not mere coincidence that the term BEAT, "to strike (a person or an animal) repeatedly and violently so as to hurt or injure them, typically with an implement such as a club or whip", also describes "an area allocated to a police officer to patrol". Our language is very telling and clearly understands what happens when people give their peers authority over them.

Humans are such useless fools about things. Is it any wonder our primary concerns are procreation and death?
