Let's work on the assumption the Joe wins the election.
Joe, a little reminder.
Everyone appointed by Trump must be fired. Out of their offices at noon on January 20, 2021. Every cabinet member. Every position that requires Senate Confirmation. Check this just to double check:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_positions_filled_by_presidential_appointment_with_Senate_confirmation. There are scores of them. Every one out at noon on January 20, 2021. (Sadly, this can't apply to judges, but we'll be looking forward to impeachments of judges, where that's deemed appropriate, as well as the appointment of judges in vast numbers in order to counter or undue the Trumpist/McConnellist influences with their appointments/consent.
Every "acting" official. Doesn't matter what agency, what department, etc. From the Pentagon to the Library of Congress to the Smithsonian to the International Boundary Commission.
Every Schedule C appointee.
Just in case you think there might be wiggle room - after all, you might, say, some may be good people - read this:
Every.
Single.
One.

(115,659 posts)It's SOP for agency heads to resign unless they are asked to stay, but everybody who can be fired should be. I especially look forward to the departure of Bill Barr.

(10,749 posts)They probably have binders full of women. And binders full of other people.
I was prompted to write that after I read a piece on just how vile Sessions was throughout his political career. And he wasn't vile enough for Trump.
And you know full well that among those appointees are people as vile as Barr and Miller, et al, just better hidden.

(16,646 posts)Cheney arranged for some appointees to switch into civil service positions. That allowed them to remain and could not be easily removed or replaced.
