Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is the latest big-name Republican to sign on with the Lincoln Project, a GOP-aligned group dedicated to ousting President Trump from office in November.
Scaramucci confirmed to Bloomberg News in an interview published Thursday that he is assisting the Lincoln Project with fundraising as it seeks to run ads targeting conservative voters who may already be skeptical of Trump's performance as president.
He has a chance here to really get humiliated, which I hope he will, Scaramucci told the outlet. The economys in shambles as a direct result of his decision making and the politicization of a health care crisis. And so for all those reasons, hes obviously incompetent and so weve got to seek his removal.
Trump and his former aide have traded insults over social media since Scaramucci's ouster from the White House following a very brief tenure as communications director, with the president largely dismissing Scaramucci as incompetent and unfit for his former post.

(7,220 posts)Even god-awful mistakes like shilling for a corrupt fraud? Would we shun a former Trump supporter if they finally saw the light,? What if that light only came on because they themselves were impacted by Trump's corruption and incompetence?
It's a tough question, because these "former Trumpers" are obviously never going to embrace democratic party principles. Not likely anyway. In the short run, I want anyone who's against Trump fighting on our side. That includes people I wouldn't have expected, like the Lincoln Project, Michael Steele, even yes, the Mooch.
Will I trust these people in the future, assuming we all succeed in ridding the world of Tangeranus? Not likely. But perhaps the partisanship can be dialed back to manageable levels, so we can (please) have a functioning government, even when parties strongly disagree with each other. In a weird way, Trump has helped this to be a possibility, for some at least.
The rest, those who continue to follow him despite what they're seeing? I hope they burn in hell.

(6,376 posts)There will be plenty of time to go back to hating these people after November 3rd. But until then...we share a common goal.
