Also an American flag and a whole bunch of Trump stickers. They pull up to the Giant Eagle as I’m loading groceries into my car. Giant Eagle is a grocery chain I shop at because they enforce mask policy. They’ve been sued for enforcing masks. So I watch as these two young skinny dudes in crappy athletic wear and maga hats get out Of their Trump truck and saunter toward the store.

Are they going to fuss about face masks?

No, they meekly pull disposable masks out of their pockets and put them on before entering the store.

It kind of made my day.

6. My wife does the farmer's market every Saturday

She sells our free range eggs, goats milk soap, and honey off our hives... I stop in to visit her occasionally down there on Saturday mornings. Its sort of upscale and organic stuff they have down there for the most part. I wouldn't expect many Trump rednecks, but they are there. They wear their Trump 2020 masks! I saw quite a few. I'm biting my tongue I told her there's a good reason she's the public face of our farm and the salesperson because I would not be able to resist popping off... "Don't the other mouth-breathing real amerrrcans make fun of you for wearing that? ... Was it made in China like the stupid hats? Is it still a hoax if the thing says Trump?"

That's the word I came up with. At Kroger today, employees wear them on their chin, with their nose sticking out-that's what I see mostly. Noses sticking out. The employees, I say something like "wearing your mask like that doesn't do your customers any good." Usually they just laugh and don't adjust the mask. Today, the security guard at the entrance, who is in charge of making sure people are wearing a mask, had his mask on his chin. I pointed, he put it back in place. I imagine he could get in trouble if I called the manager. Customers, I leave alone. Too many MAGATS with guns around here.

By the way, 75,000 new infections today. 75 fucking thousand.
