In which he called for violent military force to be used against American citizens on the streets of American cities.
This week, the administration unleashed violent military force against American cities on the streets of Portland.
She is culpable. She made this. All of her talk about free expression is a lie, and anyone who knows anything about her knew she was lying about free speech.
When she was in college, she attacked Muslim professors for being Muslim. She tried to get her university to fire Arab professors because she hated them.
The violence and the blood on our streets was being pushed by the New York Times editorial board. They need to take responsibility for their dastardly wrongness.

That was 100% Trump and his minions. Cotton my have been a minion working on it, but his article was small change.
The Blame is on Trump. The Buck stops there-- nowhere else.

(1,206 posts)The unwelcome reaction was universal and in my view it's far better to have someone like Cotton put his garbage in writing for all to see then it is for a guy like Stephen Miller in the West Wing where he can do much more damage than just writing an Op-ed - he can write policy affecting millions.
Me.
(35,454 posts)can't wait to see her on some talk show, like MJ which has her on from time to time where they ooh and goo over her. Then she'll do her 'I'm being oh so reasonable and pragmatic' show to explain showing her true colors away.

This goes quite a bit beyond criticism, and into bigotry.
Your assertions about her motivation is not supported by the facts.
You basically slandered her.
ETA just like norman finkelstein, these professors scholarship consists of anti-Israel screeds, but unlike finkelstein, both received tenure.

(1,474 posts)Her scholarship was judged by her peers to be fine and merited tenure.
There was an angry mob attempting to prevent her from getting tenure and it failed.
Weiss was part of that mob. Mob Justice is not something she is uncomfortable with. This is directly relevant to her claim that she is opposed to the Twitter mob or allowing public voices to influence publication or scholarship.
I am saying terrible things about her, and I'm not hiding that. I tend to speak in declarative sentences and generally try not to equivocate.
Weiss was attacking the good professor unfairly.
Weiss's attacks were based on identity and were horrifying. Her attack not only bordered on bigotry but was bigotry. she is not a voice for free expression but for authoritarian control of speech by privileged elites.
I stand by my negativity toward her. It's fine that you don't agree with me , though. She should have gotten tenure, her work was fine, and her peers are the ultimate voice, not the toxic mob.

When the looting starts the shooting starts.
I think the NYT should have blocked that opinion.
