MSNBC just did a story on the Lake of the Ozarks being a hot realty market now, with people

wanting to move where they believe businesses and schools will be open with no real Covid-19 worries.

They followed that with a story about Joplin, a town in southwest Missouri, going from having very few cases about a month ago to dealing with a real surge now.

They didn't say in so many words that the Lake of the Ozarks area can expect the same thing to happen, but the message was pretty clear.

Do they think they can outrun the Virus ?

If they all start piling up over there, the number of cases will increase. Unless we start enforcing real measures like masking , testing, contact tracing and distancing there is no escaping it.

Not that I'm pointing fingers but these people in the outlying portions of MO were mocking efforts in KCMO and STLMO to fight the CV, and now those chickens have come home to roost in these rural areas, since they (the residents of these areas) ignored the warnings of the CV and still went about their business like nothing is wrong.

Thank god that my sister's family and friends of mine near the Lake of the Ozarks ignored these idiots and started wearing masks, avoiding undue contact w/ more than needed w/ the outside world, etc.

Quite possibly the biggest industry in Joplin is truck stops. There are four, and also the biggest truck customizing shop in America is there. This means people from all over the country are in Joplin on a daily basis.

The center of all of this racist Trumpist crap is in Springfield. My Son lives there. I have been run off the road by Trumpers twice since he stole the Election. He now comes to see me in Hawaii.
Branson is like a sick version of Nashville.

Wouldn't be so bad if they were all from Missouri. I expect that kind of behavior from them, years of exposure to them have taught me a few things.

An identity crisis, are you Midwestern or Deep South. Wish you idiots would decide. If you want to die, buy your dream vacation home in Osage Beach. They are at the center and the reason of spread in the States surrounding them. The entire state needs a 14 day quarantine .
Ozark Vacations are for poor hicks who cannot afford to get to real Mountains in Colorado.

And be sure to stock up on 100s of dollars worth of buckets of his survival food. It's for the coming world catastrophe.

But stop! Jim tells his audience that the land the ministry is on is known to be the safest place to be during the disaster. So build your house there on his land.

Act quickly! People are lining up to buy! Lots are selling fast!

And people party like crazy down there.

I had a friend who was there a couple of weeks ago. Her brother has a house and a big boat. He told her that there were no Covid cases at the Lake.

He forgot about all the people who pour into that area every weekend.

These "adults" need to grow up and realize they are spreading this everywhere in the region. I remember the drunk parties they had when I was in High School (at 62 I am lucky to remember my name on some days ) I am petrified for the safety of my Son,who was in the Hospital in Springfield that weekend.
If it wasn't for the fact that his Mother needs him (I xeroxed since he is both Gay and a Nurse) to help care for her 4th Husband, We would bring him here.
