what they call competition. As a retired insurance agent I have followed this since ACA was first talked about. By competition they mean the right for insurance companies to sell across state lines. That would allow companies to sell crap plans and your insurance commission would have no say in protecting you. Plans would most likely originate in Texas which has the weakest insurance laws. I can tell you 95% of people wouldn't be able to tell a decent plan from a rip off. An insurance plan isn't much good if it has stated amounts in it, or unrealistic lifetime limits.
