JJ Watt Posts What NFL Players 'Know and Don't Know' About COVID-19 Guidelines

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2900481?iid=ob_lockedrail_topeditorial

Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt posted a tweet Thursday saying players want to play the 2020 NFL season but said the league's communication has been lacking, especially around protocols set for how to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NFL and NFLPA have been in negotiations regarding safety measures but have not come to terms on an agreement, despite training camp being less than two weeks away. Rookies are scheduled to report to camp July 18.

The league attempted to move forward with what amounted to a status-quo offseason, aside from the cancellation of mandatory workouts. However, the United States' failure to contain COVID-19 has turned a normal 2020 season into an impossibility.

About (for good reason). Now replace those questions to be from an underpaid teacher (or any job) with no trainers or keenex, let alone cleaning supplies, and with maybe a school nurse for not just the 50 some people on the team, but an entire school. And those said students may or may not have health insurance. I am done, completely, with the republican party and it's ideotic anti maskers, anti testers, anti vaxers. Just Done.

These are high priced athletes whose playing status rests on being healthy. And nobody has figured out what to do.

understand what we are dealing with.

It's the one thing that will get through to everyone for whom the words 'Global Pandemic' doesn't seem to stick.
