Three former Pa. governors voice support for Gov. Tom Wolf's COVID-19 mitigation efforts

Republican lawmakers and some county officials have been highly critical of Gov. Tom Wolf’s handling of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic but three of Pennsylvania’s former governors are not among them.

Wolf’s office released statements of support on Friday from former Govs. Ed Rendell, a Democrat, and Republicans Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker.

The former governors expressed their support for how Wolf and his team have handled the situation, including endorsing this week’s statewide mitigation efforts and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine’s mask-wearing order. (continues...)
