"SNIP......

Pat Forde: “There will be no college football crowds of the usual size. There might not be college football, period. Pessimism percolates as the time for solutions dwindles. We are speeding in the wrong direction as a nation in terms of combating the coronavirus pandemic, and one of the cultural casualties of American casualness is an endeavor millions of us want and every college athletic department needs.”

“If the season dies, we know who had the biggest hand in killing any chance of it happening: Donald Trump.”

“When he inevitably gets around to Twitter-ranting about what has happened to the sport, Trump should instead do what he never does—accept some accountability for the state of affairs. By blowing the summer he’s jeopardized the fall, doing more to endanger the college football season than anyone in America.”

Crowds of 100,000 spells DEATH for sure.

Trump is okay with that.

Definitely won’t be any football at that point.

Even if Big Ten football happens, it’s not going to start until Sept 26 here in Michigan. It’s conference only games, for now.

Just THAT delay is gonna set the football nuts off.

for the universities. The losses won't just be in athletic departments but all over the schools.

This whole thing is just snowballing out of control.

Thanks for bungling it trump, and continuing to bungle it. There's no national plan and he doesn't care. He just wants to re-open everything as the thinks that'll get him re-elected.

It's becoming more and more apparent as cases and deaths spike, AGAIN, that that's not going to happen.

We're fu_ked until we get rid of trump and have a national plan to combat covid.

Of screaming, spittle-flying drunks crammed into narrow seats. What could go wrong? It’s an open air venue.

devastating to those kids who were looking to scholarships in 2021 and won't have a Senior year to base that on.

Can't believe the PAC12 won't come out and make the call. Already cut season down to conference games only.

UC Schools in Berkeley and LA, NOPE! Stanford in Palo Alto, NOPE! UW in Seattle, NOPE, two Arizona Schools, NOPE!

Financial impact will be big but not catastrophic for PAC12/BIG10/most BIG12 schools. For SEC schools and towns, watch out.
