Last night I watched Rachel's interview with Mary Trump. Today I watch a replay of the ABC interview

With George Stephanopoulos. They were very different. One thing I think Ms Trump was fresher with Stephanopoulos and seemed tired with Maddow. Both interviews covered different points. Here's the Stephanopoulos interview.

1. Time, stress, being actually in the room together.

She may well have not had anything to look at with Rachel. That tends to make you gaze upward and away, to not perform all those things we do when we’re right there with someone.

2. Sounds like she is saying

her uncle gained the world but lost his soul.

3. It is amazing how many comments are on Mary herself. How she looked etc.

An a lot of what she actually said was overlooked.

Not a criticism just an observation.

5. She's a woman. Observation should be education and also

reminder for all of us know better and don't intend to slide into these behaviors but do.

To me she is a very 'handsome' woman.
Not 'pretty', not 'cute' at all.
I can see her uncle in her mouth and chin.
But I find her 'interestingly' (?) attractive.

and Rachel was on screen, where they could not really get comfortable with each other ahead of time

Thanks for posting this, I did not see the original. I'm waiting for the book to arrive from Amazon. Mary Trump had a lot of courage to write and speak so honestly about her family.
