In Portland, Protests Continue and Federal Agents Arrive, Raising Tensions

PORTLAND, Ore.—On the 47th consecutive day of protests in this city, more than 200 people marched across the Morrison Bridge into the center of downtown to hear a speech by a Black woman who said her son had been killed by police.

Most left after the event ended at dusk on Tuesday, but a couple of dozen walked to a nearby park across from the Multnomah County Justice Center, where a group has gathered every night since soon after George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police on May 25.

Small groups that stay out at night after the end of the main protests have at times spray-painted graffiti, thrown rocks at officers, broken windows and sent fireworks into a courthouse, causing a blaze, according to local and federal law enforcement.

In response, the Trump administration has sent federal agents, whose actions have drawn widespread condemnation here and raised tensions.

Do you call agents with no identification or indication of their department in camo using rental vans Secret Police? I don't know, those are more like Storm Troopers to me and the next phase will be probably be more clandestine. They will disappear their detainees most likely.

Then, you just keep adding different types of people that don't agree to the "terrorist" list and proceed from there.

It has worked before.
