.... need to deploy about 10 patrol cars and a couple of SWAT teams to surround these unmarked vehicles filled with armed men with no identifying marks on their uniforms, disarm them, put them spread eagle on the ground, and search them. They should then demand authorization for their actions and from whom that authorization was granted. Their tactics are no different from a group of armed anti-government militia running around the city kidnapping and terrorizing its citizens.

If the mayor believes that complaining to the media without any direct action will be effective in solving this problem, I think he will be sorely disappointed.

Has anyone in Authority received any credentials that legally justify these anonymous, unidentified armed groups? If the answer is no which I suspect it is, put them on the ground.

The guy I heard was taken to a regular police station and bonded out that night.

The whole thing is bonkers. They have to take the arrestees somewhere, and they have to be seen by a judge.

Keep track of each other. Watch your brothers and sisters so there is a witness.

Call out your own name loud and clear as you are being "taken". That way others will have the info to make inquiries.

Get pictures of people and vehicles, especially identifying characteristics such as license plates or insignia.

Follow up, follow up, follow up. If the authorities claim they don't have the person, don't give up on them until they are home safe. Don't let them derail you with denials and distractions. The "forgotten ones" are most likely to be abused.

Legal expense funds. Collect money now. Have local lawyers on retainer to go to work immediately. They need to lay eyes on the client, evaluate their condition, sit in on interrogations and proceedings.

We don't want this to get to the point of secret graveyards with unidentified bodies.

It can happen here.
