Trump went golfing this morning, after dozens of retweets & 1 tweet, no mention of John Lewis

Trump thought it necessary to post a congratulatory tweet for Sean Hannity's substitute host on Fox last night.

But not one word about John Lewis.

Not one word about Lewis in any of the tweets from other people that he retweeted, either.

Trump is a soulless monster who's probably stewing in toxic envy this morning, unable to watch any more cable news as the tributes to Lewis pour in.

Any other president would have said something about John Lewis & probably given him a state funeral—and not just Democrats: George W. Bush was at the 50th anniversary march in Selma. But Trump, as he did with not lowering flags for McCain, has said nothing. He is currently golfing.

This is deliberate. @realDonaldTrump and his minions believes he gets nothing by putting out a statement that will be compared to previous statements and he thinks he gets something from his racist base that he won't be the guy who honors blacks.

I honestly thought that Trump was purposefully being a tabula rasa for the racist contingent of the Republican party onto which they could project their ideas without any contradiction from him just so he could garner their support, while retaining the deniability of 'actually' being a racist.

I always figured he simply didn't care about people - black, brown or otherwise - not even about white people who couldn't do anything for him. It always struck me that he just looked down on everyone.

But, it seems that he is in fact a full-blown racist.

A giant in history passes, a man who advanced the causes of civil rights and basic humanity. Barack Obama and Joe Biden issue long, heartfelt statements celebrating the life and power of John Lewis. Trump stays silent, goes golfing. That says everything you need to know.
