'Black Horror on the Rhine'-- French Sengalese troops stationed along Rhine 1919-1930

This was part of the occupation of Germany after WWI.

Various groups worked hard to arouse fear of these blacks. All sorts of sexual crimes were alleged

Germans were increasingly fearful. But the 'fear of the black soldiers' was not limited to Germany

I only learned about the African soldiers being stationed on the Rhine when I was in my 30s. Many people have never heard about it

Talk about 'cancel culture'! Wipe blacks as participants, as independent actors, out of history, out of the textbooks
