Oregon Attorney General sues DHS

July 18, 2020, 4:26 PM EDT
By Lauren Egan

... In the lawsuit, Rosenblum asked for a restraining order to prevent agents with Homeland Security, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Federal Protection Service from making any further arrests.

The lawsuit states that federal officers "have been using unmarked vehicles to drive around downtown Portland, detain protesters, and place them into the officers’ unmarked vehicles, removing them from public without either arresting them or stating the basis for an arrest, since at least Tuesday, July 14."

"The identity of the officers is not known, nor is their agency affiliation, according to videos and reports that the officers in question wear military fatigues with patches simply reading 'POLICE,' with no other identifying information," the lawsuit continues.

The lawsuit claims that such actions compel citizens who are "reasonably afraid of being picked up and shoved into unmarked vans — possibly by federal officers, possibly by individuals opposed to the protests" from exercising their First Amendment right to assembly ...

track, confront and stop them. Force them to ID themselves and state their exact legal purpose and authority.

Once they've been forced to do that, they will be accountable for what they do and, in all likelihood, disappear.

The reason they are doing this is because they maintain plausible deniability. It's a form of terrorism.

Refuse bail until they start ratting out their chain of command and issue more arrest warrants. Nip it in the bud, before it continues anymore. Let the shit blow back splatter and spray all over DHS, Wild Billy Barr, and Donald Dumbass.

...that would probably result in an exchange of fire, giving the White House ammunition to claim that Oregon was in a "state of rebellion" and send in the Army.

6. The Oregon AG does not have the authority or ability to organize governments or police.

Remember, the AG is an attorney. Those who work under her are attorneys and support staff. You do not want a bunch of aging attorneys trying to organize armed resistance.

I was an Oregon Assistant Attorney General for 21 years.
