hiked MT Ascutney (Vermont) today

approx 30 cars at trailhead... mine was only Vermont plate... only 1 family had masks (placed upon passing others)... love that people come to enjoy the outdoors... wish they would be more cognizant of use of masks

Have not thought about it in 15/20 years. Thanks for the memory. Suicide 6 and Ascutney were my two go to places as they were steep and cheap. Very important to me in the 80’s and 90’s

I wish I had somewhere to go like this beautiful place. Driving through Vermont in the fall has been on my bucket list forever. Thanks for sharing!

Haven't done that one in years. Love it when the hang gliders fly over the tower at the top.

The last vacation my wife and I took was to Vermont in September 2019. We went on several wonderful hikes, including the summit of Mount Abraham.

the rocks on Abraham can be treacherous... I hiked it last fall after the road (Lincoln Gap) was closed, early morning and the stone near the top was just like ice...up and down on my butt

I lost my eyeglasses on that hike

I'm a sure-footed hiker for my age (early 60's) but I opted for butt scooting in some spots on the way down from Mount Abraham on a warm dry day.

But then again Vermont is beautiful in the fall. We were going to do a tour but when we heard the cost of the train ride to and from Florida, we decided there must be a cheaper way to watch the falling leaves
