But you can insult them with fake pity by saying things like: Too bad so few people admit they're Republicans anymore" or "This entire mess is exactly what Obama and Hillary Clinton said would happen" or "Well I guess this is what you'd expect from someone who can't make a casino work" and so on.
Don't respond to their lies. Just bring up stuff they aren't used to having to deal with.

I've used this line. They get defensive about being defensive, which can actually get pretty funny.
