I am over 65, the Republicans don't care if I die.

Look at the Republicans' response to the crisis:

Trump's ignoring of the pandemic, his criticism of the CDC, and his failure to have a national mobilization to provide necessary masks and protective equipment.

Red States ignoring CDC guidelines and opening precipitously too soon.

The politicizing of wearing face masks.

Gov. Kemp (R) of Georgia RESCINDING Atlanta's Mayor Keisha Bottoms mask wearing mandate.

Gov. DeSantis (R) of Florida bragged about how quickly the state was able to reopen due to his great response to the pandemic and now Florida is the epicenter of the pandemic in the entire world. And still DeSantis declares that most people are hardly affected by the virus at all and the media is over hyping it for political purposes.

It all paints a clear picture. The Republicans just don't care if older people die.

They don't care that covid-19 hits older people the hardest, they don't care because they consider older Americans to be a surplus, unproductive segment of the population.

How Dickensian of them.

still: a)Hold high-ranking corporate management positions; b)Many augment their SS with positions that like POC and other minorities, must serve as productive humans in low-wage, non living wage jobs when those younger still must support families, have made life choices that aren't wise, are unde-reducated, or just plain can't find good jobs that allow active participation in extra-survivalist activities/behaviors within their community. Just face it, Trump's supported by members of his party's biotry, prejudice, racism, knows no bounds - He is the most perfectly disgusting excuse for a human being ever to have graced the Oval Office!

They are a death cult. They don't care if people die as long as they continue to hold power.

Neither can bring themselves to visit and possibly give covid to me. A couple days ago one son said he was so desperate to be in the mountains. I told him, come visit. He thought about it a couple days and concluded he just could not take that chance. He is concerned about the server so doesn't sit in an outdoor place to get a coffee. He is concerned about being responsible killing any old people. He said to me, mom you are going to have so much fun being old. I want you to be able to do that and not have a lifetime aftermath problem with covid.

Yes. They take it seriously. And that would be the difference between youth that are progressive and voting Dems, and the one that is a Trump supporter.

Of course the nephew loves me, they just do not think thru in order to support Trump.

It's just not worth the risk.

If Trump and the Republicans really were concerned with "opening up" the economy, they would be for a national mask mandate.

Seriously, it's like they actually want to spread the disease as widely as possible, consequences be damned.
