My hand is pretty damaged. The hand surgeon splinted it for now, but it looks like plates, screws and/or pins await me on Friday.

37. Naw, we all got through NBC warfare training in bootcamp. Same in the Academy.

Stuck in a small, hot, windowless room with 20 other people wearing a rubber suit and OBA (Oxygen Breathing Appratus) and then they drop the tear gas cannisters in. And you wait until they tell you to take the OBA off, then you stay in as long as you can. I lasted 1 minute. 2 was the max they let anyone stay. Average was 35 seconds, men and women.

Ah those were the days...
Getting hit with batons and standing for it now; that was a mensch move.
