Donald Trump is going to lose because hes lost his grip on swing voters - and wont get them back
Swing voters overlooked a lot before turning on President Donald Trump. For more than five years, they left pollsters with the unmistakable impression there was no such thing as a Trump tipping point.
Biden will beat Trump because Biden is a genuine human being. Trump cant demonize Biden the way he did Hillary Clinton, though hell probably resort to even more outright fabrications in an effort to do just that.
But most importantly, they know Trump made little more than a halfhearted effort to prevent Americans from dying of a virus that has already killed more of them than the Korean and Vietnam wars combined.
The whole piece is worth reading:

(3,784 posts).............that Trump's strategy this time around is to try to "beat the bushes" and squeeze MORE votes out of an ever-shrinking segment of the population. He knows he's lost most of the swing voters, so he's going to try to get more racists to vote for him. That's why what you'll see in the coming months (and you're already starting to see it a little bit) is he'll double down on the racism, trying to get MORE of the racist vote. It's literally his ONLY path to victory, and even that might not be enough.
For example, one of the more reliable voting blocs is the older white folks. They generally eat up the racist the stuff, and they generally break hard for Republicans. From what I've heard, the older white voting bloc has softened due to the Coronavirus (the person didn't say whether it was because they disapproved of Trump's handling of the virus, or if it was because they were DYING). However, he said that that voting bloc could possibly harden over the next few months if Trump goes back to the whole "take back our country from the people trying to steal it from us" racist rhetoric. So that's why I think you'll see Trump go even more racist over the next few months. He's trying to squeeze more votes out of an ever-shrinking base.
According to this person, the odds are "heavily against him" being able to find enough votes to overcome the swing voters he's already lost.
