One family story trumps (sic) another.

We were appalled to hear that our 25 yr old granddaughter had booked a flight from Miami (!!) to come visit our son for 7 days. She did book two days in a hotel upon arrival (big F... deal!!!). Our son has 3 other children under the age of 8. Fortunately there house is quite large, with two wings. They're going to move the children out of "their" wing and put the adult granddaughter there. But give me a break!!!

That was on Sunday. Then, today we learned that our niece's stepmother and two adult stepsisters have flown across the country to visit her and her 3 children uner 10. No large house. So it's considerably worse than my son's situation. The relatives should have known that our niece was against air travel and close visits in these times because my niece declined to attend her step sister's wedding a month ago, for COVID reasons. Her father was the only conservative Republican in the family. He's dead now, but I'm assuming his wife shared his opinions. She is from eastern Europe.

CRAZY!! Maddening!!!

It's summer and they intend to travel - they don't give a shit who they infect.

Explain the current situation of the pandemic changes everything and until the crisis has passed you cannot accept family visitors from hot spots.
This has nothing to do with family love or duty.
Many of us have faced similar situations.
