America Blew It. We Spent the Spring Trying to Build a Bridge - BUT - We built a PIER instead
America spent the spring building a bridge to August, spending trillions and shutting down major parts of society. The expanse was to be a bent coronavirus curve, and the other side some semblance of normal, where kids would go to school and their parents to work.
The bottom line: We blew it, building a pier instead.
There will be books written about America’s lost five months of 2020, but here’s what we know:
We blew testing…
We blew schools…
We blew economics…
We blew public health…
We blew goodwill….

I and mine are still alive, and we're doing our parts to keep others alive also.
Those who did blow it, though, blew it huge in 2016 and before. There was no excuse for letting the Republicans or pandemic disease loose on this country. There is never an excuse for choosing to believe liars and rewarding their efforts at election time.
But that's the past. 106 days to November 3. And in some states early in-person voting first starts way before that, the first 46 days before, in 60 days! And then there are all the mail-in dates...!
Our time's finally almost here again.
A more competent leader would not have allowed things to get this bad.
