It isn't up to him! Never has been.
Simply asking him the question feeds into the notion that it is a determination that he can make.
Spoiler alert; it isn't.
I am glad to see the Democrats pushing back on this notion with indications that he will be judiciously escorted off premises if he objects.

(1,241 posts)Why ask him any questions...he has absolutely no credibility.
Hell go in January. I can see between November and January trump complaining that the election was stolen.
I am concerned about what his crazy base will do.

(10,156 posts)case went all the way to the SC where they ruled against him, yet he still refuses and continues to fight it in court, so the whole mess will probably go back to the SC again.
For the same reason Trump stonewalled and obstructed a special prosecutor's investigation, then thumbed his nose at an impeachment investigation, all with the full cooperation of the GOP, and was not removed from office. Because, for some inexplicable reason, Trump is above the law, does whatever he wants, and no one can stop him.
So, the media logically wonders what will happen when (not if) Trump proclaims the results of the upcoming election are "fake" and decides to fight it...with the help of the majority of governors and state legislatures, the GOP-run Senate, the DOJ under Barr's control, the 200 Republican judges confirmed by McConnell over the last four years, and his hands on all the levers of power in this country.
