When the White House coronavirus briefings resume, President Trump should not take the podium.

Every time he takes the podium he’s a threat to public health.

Yet the skinny is that the new briefings will feature nobody BUT Trump—no doctors (or, so I read here earlier today). If Trump doesn’t talk, who will?

Maybe it’s a trial balloon to see reaction? Maybe it’s to drum up ratings? Idk.

Trump should absolutely hold the briefings by himself. They will be epic sessions.

Consider that every time Trump makes public statements, they're either wrong, lies or mis-directions that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. When he does these things, it provides more examples for us to ridicule and diminish Trump. Plus. it's comedy gold!

Besides, when Trump is left to his own devices, he inevitably runs right of the rails. What better way to show the country that he's not fit to be president?

and just basically lay low. Trump has no idea how bad these are for him and no one is willing to tell him.

incoherently riff on Biden, BLM, Antifa, fake news, confederate monuments, phony COVID numbers, kneeling sports figures, attack all his perceived enemies and pretty much say anything else that pops into his diseased brain. He knows the media will yet again breathlessly cover his daily shitshow, so why wouldn't Trump take center stage?

It's already proved that he lies, prevaricates, rants on disconnected topics. I will not be watching.
