New- Trump signing a memorandum today, "Ensuring American Citizens Receive Proper Representation in Congress." Seeks to exclude undocumented immigrants from the census for the purpose of congressional apportionment. Experts say it's a non-starter going against Constitution.

1. My grandmother was an undocumented immigrant in 1900 and she was counted in the Census.

My friend's mother was also an undocumented immigrant was in the Census from 1930 until 1990.

and still weren't citizens on the 1940 census, but were listed as "Aliens."

Fortunately, I think, it can be conducted again next year using the Decennial "Census Day" of April 1, 2019. It can be done as a confirmation census or something but the correct data can be collected.

Unsurprising anecdote: I drove to CVS yesterday and on my way passed a house flying a huge Trump 2020 sign with the stereotypical enormous (never to go off-road) off-road 4X4 pickup in the driveway and kinda chucked to myself. On the way home passing the house again, there was a Hispanic landscaping worker blowing leaves off of their lawn, and so I chucked again.
