People want this pandemic to be over and so they are susceptible to con men like Trump who promise things they cannot deliver. There are reputable agencies working as quickly as they safely can to develop a vaccine, but there absolutely has to be a balance between speed and safety along with effectiveness. You cannot cut corners and still maintain that balance.

Trump is an idiot and an ass. He wants the "appearance" and that is all. Just like his ugly home decor and his ugly buildings, he wants the appearance of opulence, of control, or power, and in the case of COVID-19; of normalcy. He isn't capable or willing to do the actual work to achieve those things so he spends all of his time trying to control the image and facade.

I would not trust anything, let alone a vaccine that came out of the Trump administration. I think he is going to get more people killed if he tries to rush the process through.
