Quinton Lucas was elected in August 2019. He did, I think, a pretty terrific job dealing with a pandemic in his first six months in office. Then he did a pretty terrific job handling the situations arising after the murder of George Floyd.

It’s a remarkable thing to see the United States Attorney General target a well-performing mayor of a good size city this way.

Oh, did I mention that he’s a Democrat? He’s black, too. (rookie, Democrat, black...kinda like Mayor Lightfoot)
