Here's what I don't get

That ABC News – Washington Post poll conducted July 12 – 15 that reported 63 percent of respondents supported Black Lives Matter, also said 52 percent were against removing Confederate statues. I don't understand why any modern American would support keeping Confederate statues. They were enemies of the United States.

Granted the poll was small -- only 1,006 people -- but it still puzzles me. Where did they conduct it, Virginia?

Removing statues doesn't really change underlying racism, but I'm still for it. Hoyt Jul 2020 #1
The size of the poll is largely irrelevant if properly chosen. I know, I know... TreasonousBastard Jul 2020 #2

it seems wrong, but any statistics course will explain the formulae for selection. It really does work.

But, more to the point, BLM and statuary are really two different things. IT really isn't that difficult to imagine someone who believes BLM, but also thinks a statue of Lee isn't such a bad thing.
