(58,626 posts)This month, Republican groups in eight counties censured the Republican governor after he issued a statewide mask order, saying that it infringed on their rights and followed the lead of Houston, San Antonio and other Democratic-led cities and counties that already required masks in businesses.

(58,785 posts)went into effect here in traditional FL cracker-land, both stores were busy as usual and everyone we saw was wearing a mask. No one arrived at the doors without one. The day before a good half at least were without, the next morning -- before noon no less -- shoppers all not only had masks on, but they HAD masks.
Where'd they get them? When'd that happen? And where were the freedom fighters?
My best guess for this mystery is that they WANT to wear masks. There's a killer virus going around. And now they both had an excuse and normal people like them were, no more worry about being mistaken for a damned liberal with a small dick.
