Why, oh why do I waste my time?

I have two sisters who are Fox "news" junkies and hard-core right-wingers. Why do I waste my time trying over and over, year after year, to help them see the light? I know it will only end is angry email exchanges, but I keep hoping that some day I might get through to them. Sigh.

3. My brother and I agreed to never discuss politics again

We had a pretty horrific battle after Trump's election, and he was extremely upset. And from his perspective, I was belittling, dismissive, and arrogant.

I was not going to apologize for the certainty of my strong views, and I get that he's a conservative Republican. He is anti-racist and very tolerant of LGBT people and is not opposed to immigration, but because he is a Republican he is very tolerant of the Republican ideology in general.

Not talking about politics has freed us up to be brothers again.
