I missed baseball more than anything, but this doesn't feel right.

Sean Doolittle of the Nats had it exactly right. Sports are a reward for having a functioning society. Other countries have resumed sports because they've turned the corner on COVID-19. That's not the case for us as the epidemic is now as worse as it's ever been.

This just feels unearned and delusional. Sports are back, which is great, but they are only back because we"re pretending all is ok. I love baseball so much (my screen name is proof of that), but this just feels sad and pathetic.

On the fence whether I’ll spring for a live TV subscription too. Only reason I would is to watch baseball.

There's just too much of the virus out there to think that baseball can avoid it. The NBA has the best chance to succeed by keeping teams in a bubble, and even that may not work. And if they have to shut it down at any point, it's not coming back again this year.
