(3,255 posts)I wrote Mayor Lightfoot today expressing my concerns as a resident of Chicago. I voted for her. But, Im perplexed at her response to allowing fed officers to enter our city.

(32,755 posts)And real time investigators..NOT the goons that are in Portland. They will have name tags and IDs and will coordinate with city police.
Lightfoot has already said she would not tolerate dotards goons on the streets of the city as is happening in Portland.
The reality is dotard is suppressing the real story to make it appear he succeeded in wearing a woman mayor of a major liberal city into submission

(36,023 posts)I can post the video statement but it's a small part of a longer local Seattle news show.

Not just Seattle.....They are gonna aim for every Dem state and major city, to do a modern Reischtag.
It's no co-incidence that large protests, the ones that seem serious, always have "agitators" who
do damage, so that the police can claim it was the protestors, and then start replacing the march message with the police message of "rioters, Antifa, Communists, Marxists, Socialists, etc...whichever term is most effective at the time, but all terms have been used, in all the dictator places"
So far Chicago and Kansas City have also agreed to accept some "team" from trump, after saying they would not.
Somebody is being blackmailed and/or threatened in these cities.

What's also behind this is the big message to all who support Black Lives Matter. It's the sick, centuries-old race power show of force that racial power remains, and that nationwide,
a) his power backs up local criminal, careless, racist law enforcement,
b) his racist law enforcement will go wherever he decides,
c) his white racist voters can be reassured that their status is protected and that protests against racist policies that kill Black people will be quelled.
Because protests on behalf of black lives is why this all started.
In 45's racist world, that Constitution and "all humans created equal" ideas are just guidelines under rule of racist white men, the tag team hit at AOC on the steps of Congress, just to remind women, not just women of color, that anytime, anywhere, they aren't equal, either. They're targets, too. Might makes right.
Here they are in the 21st Century, dragging their 16th Century race power armor with them, pretending to be 'modern.'

I hope everything the Governor said remains true.

(36,023 posts)Governors, not Trump's goons, run the state show.
He can do what Cuomo did and at least get an "agreement" from Trump and hold him to his word.
Or he can sue as OR has. Trump doesn't want any more of that because he knows he'll lose in the courts.

(300 posts)This is how Trump seeks and counsels mayors to "dominate the streets," if they can do beat downs, suspend liberties and due process, and instill fear and repression of dissent, it's icing on the cake for them...
