think not. They are there to protect POTUS. This President apparently doesn’t have to obey any laws. Maybe the SS could call the FBI, ATF or even 911.

I’m only guessing, I have no idea! It’s a good question especially now that we have a President who might so that (on the bright side, I’m sure his aim sucks).

Their objective is keeping the president alive and able to do the job of POTUS.

The consequences would be dealt with in a functional DOJ, or even through the executive branch with the 25th amendment.

3. Well, presidents do have restrictions on their activities

For example, the president and the VP are not allowed to drive cars. I'm certain there are a myriad of other restrictions, i.e., no skydiving, scuba diving, hang gliding, etc.

My point is, where would a president get a gun? He can't just ask an SS agent to give him one.

Also, in your scenario, w100jmi, who would the president be shooting at? Why would he be shooting at someone? I would think the agents would respond accordingly. Their job is to protect the president. If he's shooting, he's in danger of becoming a target so maybe the SS would disarm him to lower the risks.

It's kind of a strange proposition. What prompted your thought?

If he is in his bunker with a Walther PPK, Cyanide capsules, and Melanie Braun I would think the SS would just let him be.
