set up field hospitals and tents and more facilities to provide extra staffing to treat sick people? NYC did it, so why is Texas acting like they're lost on a deserted island and it's survival if the fittest?

This is unconscionable! There are resources available but it looks like nobody in Texas planned for the inevitable surge in sick patients. The government has failed to do is basic hob to protect its citizens.

And where the he'll is the fucking Trump who is all gungho about protecting statues of dead traitors and saving public building from the scourge of graffiti? Why hasn't trumped swooped down on the Republican leadership in texas? Clearly they have abdicated their primary duty and shirked off any responsibility for preventing the breakdown in their healthcare system. Isn't that the clarion cry for a swift federal response to right their terribly mismanaged sinking ship of state?

...all of the expertise and much of the equipment they need.

Of course, when they do eventually sneak up to the WH to ask for help, they'll have to shake the 'magic money tree' to get anything rolling.
