Trump: U.S. Senate Armed Services chairman won't change military bases' names

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Friday said the chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, fellow Republican James Inhofe, will not change the names of U.S. military bases, despite the bipartisan push to rename posts honoring leaders of the southern Confederacy that seceded and started the country's Civil War.

"I spoke to highly respected (Chairman) Senator @JimInhofe, who has informed me that he WILL NOT be changing the names of our great Military Bases and Forts, places from which we won two World Wars (and more!)," Trump wrote in a tweet.

Senator Snowball has no say in it dotard.

86-14 vote to approve the annual National Defense Authorization Act, which includes changing the base names.

Watch Trumpy cave on his threat to veto this.

The corruption in the Trump administration runs wide and deep, it has thoroughly engulfed the agencies we once relied on to maintain a working government.

We are no longer functioning as a democracy, but as a tyrannical dictatorship. How much longer will it be before Trump realises that he does not need anyone to parrot whatever he tells when he could act on his own as the Supreme Leader without question?

Fort White House Bunker.

His battle flag is simply a white square of cloth with a red clown nose in the center. His battle streamers are yellow-stained strips of Executive Charmin retrieved off Trump’s shoes by Stephen Miller.

Refusing to take the names of slaveholding enemy generals off our Great Military Bases and Forts qualifies as supporting the Confederacy and Slavery.
