Chump was actually terrible on The Apprentice but they all enabled him. He couldn't read a script because he's dyslexic. He couldn't follow directions because he basically would never listen to anyone tell him what to do. So every one of those shows, he just went around making stuff up. He winged it all, just like he's doing in the White House. The showrunners never knew what he was going to say, they had to edit out all the craziness (and profanity) and make each episode make sense somehow.

That's why the rumors about the Apprentice outtakes are true - for every one hour of actual showtime, they edited out 20 hours of garbage they couldn't use. The funny thing was, in Chump's mind he was really a brilliant businessman and the episodes were all "real" to him. Everybody else enabled him and made him look good.
