Amazing how far the presidency has deteriorated in only a few years:Trump is ENDLESSLY bragging about passing a simple dementia test.

I don't remember Obama bragging for days winning the Nobel Peace Prize, do you?

and being impeached for a multitude of sins - corruption, treason, human rights violations, dereliction of duty (covid-19), betrayal of the Armed Forces as Commander-in-Chief...and the list goes on.

Clinton never harmed the country with his personal failings, and he was a fine president otherwise.

About his cognitive test. Anyone who has been in this situation knows he is truly in the throes of dementia. He really is a textbook sample of someone who should be 25th amendment removed.
But obviously the traitors to our country refuse to do their constitutional duty.

but he does have a master's degree in Musicology. (I'm just riffing on Duck's Breath Mystery Theater, Ask Dr. Science.)

I, too, am a huge fan of Dr. Demento and would love to score a boxed set of all 17 "Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes"

He fried his brain on OPERA!!!! It was the subject of his master's thesis. I can relate. Many years ago, my handle here was Opera Nut.

and exponentially expanded his music horizon. I believe this is when he started collecting records in earnest; 78's were cheap, and the lions share of it was the popular music prior to WW11, which soon became his bailiwick.

The jury is still out whether he is an avid collector or simply a hoarder. His house moans and screams, "hoarder", every time he returns home with beat up box of records.

I don't live in California and don't know him personally. I fried my brain on classical and old rock and roll when I was growing up (60s-70s-80s). I still have a lot of vinyls myself, and a still functioning component stereo system (remember THOSE?) to listen to them on. My Marantz receiver has served me well for nearly 50 years. I am horrified at the thought of TPTB stopping manufacturing CDs. I don't download anything on a music service. I either listen on Youtube or I buy a CD.

I met Dr. Demento at a couple of family gatherings about 30-35 years ago. His wife is a sister to one of my ex-wife's good friends and so we were invited to a couple of their family gatherings. It was surprising how many people in Omaha would recognize him and come over for a quick hello. He was very gracious in those settings and was nothing like his on-air personality.
