to the tune of 100% of listed deaths. In other words, they're probably closer to 11,000 COVID dead in Florida now.

Given that their total populations are 578,759 and 623,989, respectively (as compared to New York, 19.45 million; California, 39.51 million; Florida, 21.48 million).

Better to look at the stats on cases per million or 100,000.
