Wild how these white dudes serve 28% of their sentence, or less!

They committed federal felonies and were properly, even leniently, sentenced under the guidelines.

the entire system is built on rewarding cooperating witnesses.

I of course agreed with that.

That was then shortened once again to almost nothing.

Trump as president (supposedly) can't be prosecuted for his part in crimes committed. However, he saw fit to have Barr order Cohen back to prison, lest he spill ALL the Goyas before the election. If accountability begins at the top, and that accountability is non-existent, then I don't begrudge an underling who cooperated in his prosecution going free.

It's amazing that he serves just a fraction of that! Don't get me wrong - I think all sentences should be lighter, and many non-existent, but the radical unfairness of shitheels like Michael Cohen serving fractions of their sentences when others do minimum 80%s is beyond fucking scream-worthy.

I begrudge it, for sure.

and hypocritically throwing his go-to fixer back into the slammer, lest 1st Amendment rights be exercised. Cohen should not be lumped in with the likes of Flynn, Manafort, and Stone, each of whom has walked free despite having not cooperated with prosecutors.

Why some of y'all keep comparing him to the other criminals who got away with it because of Trump's criminality is a mystery. They should all be locked up, and so should Cohen.

With blatantly corrupt intent based on "loyalty" as the basis for pardons, commutations, and voiding trial-by-jury verdicts, it is not.
