The obi wan series should be good the clone wars animated was fantastic. rogue one was incredible. SW is in its best place ever and they are going to open up new storylines now that the sky walker saga is closed.

7. My theory on why the offshoots like "Rogue One" were better

Because the tension is real. You don't know who is going to die and who won't. Sure the latest trilogy tried to bring back uncertainty by killing off at least one key character per film, but it just wasn't the same.

I understand a couple more Trek series are in the works, one to be released in August, an animated series called "Lower Decks."

Just saw a preview trailer, looks kind of funny.

Many old series and franchises are simply running out of gas.
