Arizona Democratic Party headquarters fire now an arson investigation

PHOENIX — Editor's note: Phoenix PD and Phoenix Fire are holding a press conference regarding the arson at the Arizona Democratic Party headquarters.

Fire investigators now believe a Friday morning fire at the Arizona Democratic Party headquarters in Phoenix was arson.

The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched to the building near Central Avenue and Thomas Road around 1 a.m. for reports of smoke coming from the building.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but the Maricopa County Democratic Party's side was completely lost.

Investigators say based on the evidence at the scene, this is now an arson investigation.

as bad as repugs are and desperate, I hope the two groups can both relocate so it’s all clean headquarters free of all the damage & chaos left and hey who knows , even possible listening devices left somewhere on the properties
