PHOENIX — Fire investigators now believe a Friday morning fire at the Arizona Democratic Party headquarters in Phoenix was arson.

The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched to the building near Central Avenue and Thomas Road around 1 a.m. for reports of smoke coming from the building.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building.

Slugocki, citing people who reviewed the video evidence, said a person got our of their car, threw a projectile at the building, and drove away. Minutes later, the fire swept through the building.
