So far, it looks like (William R.) Evanina is going to get away with just vaguely saying Russia, China, and Iran are meddling in the election. As Adam Schiff pointed out, that creates a "false sense of equivalence between what Russia is doing, what China is doing, what Iran is doing."

I hate to seem suspicious, but whenever a Trump admin type is vague about a fact that impacts the election, that means the fact is really bad for Trump. Let's say the Trump administration had evidence that Iran was posting anti-Trump propaganda on Facebook. Does anyone doubt that Trump himself would be tweeting about it constantly?

But let's say that both Russia and China are hoping for and taking actions to create a Trump victory in November. Do you think the Trump team would tell us? Both Russia and China have arguably gained tremendous advantage from having Trump and the Republicans running America into the ground internationally. The quiet from the Trump team about the goals, strategies, and actions of those adversaries kind of speaks volumes.
